I love a good crock pot recipe. They are so simple to throw together and the house smells wonderful while it cooks. This recipe is no exception. I had to use a roast with bones and I could literally just pull the bones out when it was done. It was even great reheated the next day! Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
1 (3 pound) pork shoulder roast
1 quart vegetable broth
1 cup sherry
3 cups peeled, chopped potatoes
2 cups pearl onions
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt to taste
Directions
Place the pork roast in a slow cooker. Pour in the vegetable broth and sherry. Mix in the potatoes, onions, mushrooms, rosemary, and pepper.
Cover, and cook on Low at least 8 hours, to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Season with salt to taste.

Thunderbird Stew
I love a good crock pot recipe especially on a Sunday when we've been having thunderstorms all day. This recipe literally takes 5 minutes to throw together and it makes your house smell delicious! Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients
2 pounds chuck roast
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix
1 1/2 cups apple juice
Directions
Slow Cooker instructions: Place stew beef, onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, and apple juice into a slow cooker, and cook on Low for 5 to 8 hours.
Oven instructions: Mix together the apple juice, onion soup mix, and brown gravy mix in a casserole dish. Add stew beef, and cook covered for 2 1/2 to 3 hours in a 325 degree oven.( 165 degrees C)

Cheesy Italian Tortellini
This a great crock pot recipe for a rainy Sunday, which is exactly when we had it. It makes a ton so there is plenty for seconds. It's a great comfort food! Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
1 (16 ounce) jar marinara sauce
1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated or fresh cheese tortellini
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
Crumble the ground beef and Italian sausage into a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain.
Combine the ground meats, marinara sauce, mushrooms, and tomatoes in a slow cooker. Cover, and cook on LOW heat for 7 to 8 hours.
Stir in the tortellini, and sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and cook for 15 more minutes on LOW, or until the tortellini is tender.

Slow Cooker Sauerkraut and Sausage
This recipe is so easy to throw together in the morning before work. And it makes the house smell great! You can use any kind of sausage you want. I used kielbasa. Makes 5 servings.
Ingredients
1 (20 ounce) can sauerkraut
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 pounds ground pork sausage
1 onion, sliced
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine the sauerkraut and brown sugar. then place in slow cooker. Arrange the sausage and onion over the sauerkraut.
Cook on high for two hours, check for dryness, adding some water if necessary, then reduce to low setting, and cook on low for two more hours.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops
These are really yummy and so easy to make. The sauce is great over white rice. This is great for throwing together before you leave for work in the morning. When you get home, make some minute rice and a vegetable and dinner is served! Makes 4 servings.
Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
4 thick cut boneless pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, chicken broth, garlic, paprika, garlic powder, poultry seasoning and basil. Pour into the slow cooker. Cut small slits in each pork chop with the tip of a knife, and season lightly with salt and pepper. Place pork chops into the slow cooker, cover, and cook on High for 4 hours. Baste periodically with the sauce.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stew
This stew is delicious! It makes the house smell so good while it cooks all day. I highly recommend this recipes! Makes 7 servings.
Ingredients
3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast meat - cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup water
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning
1 apple - peeled, cored and cut into eighths
3 small red potatoes, cut into eighths
1 onion, cut into eighths
1 (1.25 ounce) envelope dry onion gravy mix
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute garlic and chicken until lightly browned.
Place chicken and garlic in slow cooker; add water, soup, pepper, salt, seasoning, apple, potatoes, onion and gravy mix. Mix all together.
Set heat on Low setting and simmer slowly for 6 to 8 hours.

Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker
Like I've said before, everything tastes better in the crock pot. It's easy enough to throw together before work and when you come home you have pork chops that you can cut with a fork. Makes 4 servings.
Ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
4 thick cut pork chops
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed chicken with rice soup
Directions
In a pie plate or shallow dish, mix flour, dry mustard, and seasoned salt. Trim fat from pork chops.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Dredge chops in flour mixture, then place them in the skillet, and brown both sides.
Place in chops into a slow cooker, and pour the chicken and rice soup over them. Cover, and cook on Low about 8 hours.

Garlic Pork Roast
This is a super yummy crock pot recipe. I used regular white potatoes instead of sweet potatoes and they were delicious! Makes 4 servings.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (2 pound) boneless pork roast
salt and pepper to taste
4 sweet potatoes, quartered
1 onion, quartered
6 cloves garlic
1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
Directions
Heat oil in large heavy skillet. Season meat with salt and pepper, and brown in oil.
In a slow cooker, layer sweet potatoes, onion and garlic. Place browned roast on top of vegetables, and pour in chicken broth.
Cover, and cook on low setting for 6 hours.

Easiest BBQ Pork Chops
This is so easy to throw together and the pork chops are fork tender at the end of the day. So yummy! Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
6 pork chops

Combine soup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and onions in slow cooker. Add pork chops.
Cover, and cook on Low for 6 hours.

Slow Cooker Pork
Here's another super simple crock pot recipe. I served this with tortillas and taco fixings. Yum! Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients
3 pounds pork shoulder
2 (1 ounce) packages taco seasoning mix
chili powder to taste
crushed red pepper to taste
Directions
Place pork shoulder in a slow cooker with taco seasoning. If desired, add chili powder and/or red pepper flakes. Add water until meat is covered. Place lid on pot and cook on low for 8 hours.
Remove pork shoulder from pot and shred.

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce
This is a good, hearty sauce to serve over any pasta. And it's perfect for cooking while you're snowed in, which is what I did this week. It made the whole house smell yummy! Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 small onions, chopped
1/4 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style stewed tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon white sugar
Directions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onions and Italian sausage until the sausage is browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer the sausage and onions to a slow cooker. In the same skillet, cook and stir the ground beef, Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and marjoram, breaking the meat up as it cooks, until the meat is browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer the ground beef into the slow cooker.
Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, thyme, basil, oregano, and 2 teaspoons of garlic powder. Set the cooker on Low, and cook the sauce for 8 hours. About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the sugar. Serve hot.

Mother's Pot Roast
Who doesn't love a good crock pot pot roast? This is so simple and so delicious. Serve over mashed potatoes. Done and done. Makes 5 servings.
Ingredients
2 1/2 pounds tip round roast
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 onion, cut into thin strips
2 bay leaves
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place meat in pot with fat side up. Pour tomato sauce over roast. Place onion rings over all. Toss in bay leaves. Cover and cook 1 hour on high.
After 1 hour reduce heat to low and cook 6 to 8 more hours. Carefully lift meat out of pot and remove to a warm platter.
Pour drippings through strainer into medium sized saucepan and discard material in strainer. Whisk in flour to liquid. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper, serve alongside roast.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
This is another great crock pot meal. Simple and fast to throw together, lots of flavor and makes the house smell great. I love it! Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients
1 large onion, sliced
2 1/2 pounds boneless pork loin roast
1 cup hot water
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 dash hot pepper sauce, or to taste
Directions
Arrange onion slices evenly over the bottom of the slow cooker, and then place the roast on top of the onion. In a bowl, mix together water, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and hot sauce; pour over roast.
Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or on High for 3 to 4 hours.

Sausage Potato Bake
This is so easy because there are only 4 ingredients. It's great comfort food for the winter time too. You can make it in the crock pot or in the oven. I chose the crock pot. Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
8 cups cubed potatoes
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed vegetable beef soup
Directions
For oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a 4 quart casserole dish, combine the potatoes, kielbasa OR sausage, mushroom soup and vegetable beef soup. Mix together well.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 1/2 hours.
For slow cooker: Place the potatoes, kielbasa OR sausage, mushroom soup and vegetable soup in a slow cooker.
Cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
I love anything in the crock pot and this is no exception. It's so simple, just throw everything in, make some spaghetti and voila, a hearty Italian dinner! Yum! Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
2 green bell pepper, seeded and cubed
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons minced garlic
Directions
Put the chicken in the slow cooker. Top with the spaghetti sauce, green bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
Cover, and cook on Low for 7 to 9 hours.
Butter Beef
This was delicious! So simple, so yummy and so fantastic! I served it over rice and it was great because the rice soaked up all of the sauce. I wish I could have it again tonight! Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients
3 pounds cubed beef stew meat
1/2 cup butter
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
Directions
Place the beef and butter into a slow cooker. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 hours, or High for 4 to 5 hours. Stir once or twice.

This is a nice, easy recipe that has a lot of flavor. Just throw it all in the crock pot and you're good to go. The sauce is great over white rice or noodles. Makes 4 servings.

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon milk
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom pieces, drained
salt and pepper to taste
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
DIRECTIONS
In a slow cooker, mix together the soup, onion, parsley, wine, garlic powder, milk, and mushroom pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Place chicken in the slow cooker, covering with the soup mixture.
Cook on Low setting for 5 to 6 hours, or on High setting for 3 to 4 hours.

1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 1/4 cups water
5 1/2 pounds pot roast
DIRECTIONS
In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture.
Cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low setting for 8 to 9 hours.

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds flank steak
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
DIRECTIONS
Place meat in the bottom of the slow cooker; if necessary, slice meat to make it fit!
In a medium bowl, mix together mushroom and tomato soup. Pour mixture over beef. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over top.
Cover, and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.

DIRECTIONS
Place rump roast in a slow cooker. Pour in condensed cream of mushroom soup and condensed beef broth. Cook on LOW for about 8 hours.
