This is a simple one pot meal. I was a little leery that the spaghetti would cook completely in so little liquid but there was no problem at all. It was delicious! Makes 5 servings.
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, with liquid
12 ounces spaghetti, broken into pieces
1 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onions until no pink shows on the beef; drain. Mix in green pepper and mushrooms and cook for a few minutes. Add tomatoes with juice, spaghetti and water; stir. Add Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Cook about 15 minutes or until spaghetti is tender, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and stir until melted
